Jodi and her Hot Shots team understand the almost timeless significance of photography; after all, somebody's great-great-grandchildren might be looking over their work one day. Whilst we understand that weddings are events steeped in ritual and ceremony, we also know that some of the most beautiful moments are those that are candid and not posed. Our wedding photography speaks for itself.

Wedding Photography Session Tips

When choosing a wedding photographer… here are some tips to ask for

  1. How many years of experience do they have?
  2. Do you get along well with the photographer; have you met the “actual” photographer for your day?
  3. Will you get proofs
  4. Will they follow the professional photography service to the printing and album stage with you?
  5. Are there any maximum image restrictions?
  6. What will they take photos of?
  7. Will they have an assistant accompanying them?
  8. Do they have a studio? Can they be contacted whenever you need to ask a question?
  9. Will they find out what “YOU WANT”?
  10. Are they willing to customise the quotations and inclusions to your specific needs?

  1. Jodi has 16 years In Canberra and internationally as a wedding photographer. Her Wedding Photographers have min. of 8 Years experience.
  2. At Hot Shots we will meet with you in person. We also ask that you attend our studio for a complementary engagements session with your wedding day Photographer. This ensures you get to know them before the day, and tell them the styles you like.
  3. Every Hot Shots wedding package includes ALL of the proofs from your day, in bound black leather like album. This way, you can show them off to friends and family after the wedding to obtain their orders easily. Also… for years to come you have a “hard” copy of all photos to keep, regardless of whether you order them or not!
  4. We at Hot Shots (as professional photographers should) offer proofs. Be it wall enlargements, albums or canvas … we work with you and your choice of images to create The “ final Printed, colour correct product you deserve”
  5. We Photograph any combination on the day requested…. And many more… Not limitations!
  6. The couple including their bridal party. Immediate family, as much as possible in the given time, any requests from you and your guests. We are there to please everyone attending the wedding!
  7. Hot Shots Photographers, always travel with an assistant. The assistant’s job is also very important, as they can, polish and check clothing, poses and interact with everyone, making people feel comfortable.
  8. The Hot Shots Studio has been operating in Canberra for the past 16 years! We are here to stay. We love our job and office hours are Tues – Sat for enquiries. Jodi is However… always available on her mobile for any after hours enquiries 7 days and nights a week.
  9. We want to know what you want. Even though we have the experience, we must find out the style you prefer, in order to capture the day as you have planned it. We will pose and make you look your best; however we also openly accept your preferences, wishes and suggestions. We are not the boss…. YOU ARE!
  10. Even though we have a standard rate card for mail outs, we are more than willing to meet with you and customise a package to best suit your requirements…. Just Ask!
